Question Concealed Weapons Permit Has the Holder's Street Name Misspelled

I finally received my Concealed Weapon Permit in the mail today but my street name is misspelled like "MMAINE ST" instead of "MAINE ST", does this affect the validity of the license? I did send an email the address which was given to me in my form letter of approval (that was in the same envelope as my permit) and told them what exactly was wrong with my license. I suspect I won't hear back until the end of next week.

Is the permit is INVALID because of that error? Or might I safely carry concealed with my permit as-is? I'm erring on the side of caution here so I won't risk it but for future reference is this kind of error in street name serious for these sorts of licenses/documents? Does it automatically render them invalid?

My other information such as name, birthdate, height, weight, eye color and hair color are all correct and the rest of my address is correct as well.

    I'm curious.

    Thank you.

We can give you a correct answer if you were to tell us what state you're instead of taking a guess that it is Maine due to the street name...

Well, Maine no longer requires permits to carry concealed, so my guess is that if it is Maine, the entire point is moot.
I suspect it's some other state.

From readings the NRS statutes involved, it looks like you are OK, though you can certainly submit a correction. Even if you change your address they don't reissue the card unless you pay $15 or whatever for the duplicate.

I don't think that the typo has any bearing on the validity of your permit. You qualified and were issued the permit and everything else is correct.

It appears that the only thing that remotely relates is:

NRS 202.3667 - Permittee to carry permit and proper identification when in possession of concealed firearm; penalty.
    1. Each permittee shall carry the permit, or a duplicate issued pursuant to the provisions of NRS 202.367, together with proper identification whenever the permittee is in actual possession of a concealed firearm. Both the permit and proper identification must be presented if requested by a peace officer.
    2. A permittee who violates the provisions of this section is subject to a civil penalty of $25 for each violation.

The "proper identification" that you carry has your correctly spelled address.

I'd get the permit corrected as soon as possible but it shouldn't affect your carrying concealed unless, by chance, you have to turn in the old permit before you can get the corrected permit.
