    Default Harassment by an Ex-Manager

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas

My wife worked at a retail store for maybe 6 months. It was a small family owned store with maybe 15 stores total. The store manager started using drugs and would come to work stoned. Through the months he began using them inside the store at which point his mood would change and she felt uncomfortable. I told her to tell the district manager, which she did and he told him to go take a drug test ( which he passed ). He laughed about it and said, he purchased fake pee. During this time she was looking for another job and luckily found one. She put in her 2 weeks but after another outburst from the manager a few days later which he was screaming at her, I told her to not go back. Fast forward to 6 months after she quit, she got a random phone call one night with some guy laughing and hung up. Then the text messages started. He said she was fat, ugly, smelled.....pretty much any nasty thing he could think of. I grabbed her phone and told him a few thoughts of my own ( no threats ) and said to leave us alone. It continued with claims he would take a dump on her recently dead grandfathers grave and some other stuff. I was able to block his number and everything stopped. We saved the messages but a few days later her phone was damaged and all proof was lost.......I did some calling around and found out that he was finally fired from his job the same day we go the calls and texts. This was 6 months later though after my wife quit but it appears he blames her for his termination. Now to yesterday, 3 months since he last contacted us. My wife gets a nasty e-mail from him via Facebook ( although everything is private on her page ). He wrote pretty much the same nasty stuff, this time we did not reply and that was the only message she got. ( we double saved this message )

Now to my question: What can we do to stop him legally from contacting us? I would like to stop these nasty messages and all, but a side of us does not want to do anything in fear that he will escalate his messages to vandalizing our home or cars. He is obviously unstable and seems to be fixed on her, 9 months later.

Petition a court or your police department for a no-contact order against this guy. With that order in place, once he contacts you again, he will be arrested.
