Default Someone is Using My Mailing Address to Commit Mortgage Fraud

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado
Is it legal for someone to use my home address (I own the property) to obtain a federally backed home loan? I have someone using my address to commit mortgage fraud. I have contacted the banks, the post office, the police and I was told there was nothing they could do. They are also writing pre-printed checks using my address and they never lived at my address. The loan is for over a quarter of a million dollars.

Thank you for reading and any help is appreciated!!!

Are they just using your address or are they actually claiming to own your home and getting the mortgage on your home?

Check your credit report and make sure there is nothing amiss. Check all your cards and make sure no charges have been made that are not by you. Return any mail that is not yours to the post office.

They were not trying to receive a loan on my home. They were applying for a loan on their home and electing in their loan documents their property was going to be a rental property. So, they used another address to keep the scam of their property being" rental property" and selected my address to be involved in their scheme to commit fraud. As, I mentioned in my thread they are now using my address on their pre-printed bank checks.

Have you contacted them and requested they stop using your address?
