Post Caught in a Public Park After Hours

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York

I received a ticket in a public park, as I was unaware that it closed after sunset. Officer told me it would be a $20-$300 fine, and said it would probably be on the lower end. If I plead guilty, will I receive the max fine? I would like to avoid going to court, as I don't really want my family members to know that I got this ticket.
    Thanks

You are probably speaking about an ordinance violation. We have no information about the park, the signage, or the specific statute or ordinance cited by the officer, so we are not going to be able to tell you much of anything about the penalty.
