My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Florida
In 2007 Child support put a court order out for my ex for child support, he was in the same state, florida at the time, different county. They were never able to serve him and i heard nothing about it since. My son, who is now 23 recently told me that his father is living in New York state and on social security disabilitly. My question is, is it too late to try to get him for child support for the back years he never accounted too? I know how the child support office can be, so before i went and waste days on end for nothing, i figured i'd ask if someone knew, if it was worth trying to get him to be responsible for his previous years of non support. I'm not sure if there is a statue of limitations that would prevent me from even refiling.
