My question involves criminal law for the state of: OKLAHOMA

I know someone that is on probation in Oklahoma with a 5 year deferred sentence for possession of a controlled narcotic drug, the deferred sentence ends in 2019. She pays probation fees to the DA's office, has a probation officer, but is unsupervised. The person has a professional job, completed all conditions of drug counseling and community service. She met someone from Colorado and began a relationship, she decided to ask her job for a transfer from Oklahoma to Colorado so they could get a house together there.

WITHOUT permission from the State of Oklahoma, she got the job transfer approved, sold her house, and moved to Colorado 5 months ago. A few days ago the police came to the house she sold in Oklahoma looking for her with a warrant for her arrest. She claims she thought she had to turn in a simple "address change" and "just forgot" and says she did not know she had to have "permission" to move to another state.

She is driving back from Colorado to turn herself in tomorrow morning in Oklahoma, she will be allowed to bond out, then has to appear before a Judge in the afternoon. She refuses to get a lawyer because she thinks it is "no big deal" and just a mistake on her part. The Prosecutor already filed asking the Judge to "accelarate her deferrment and sentence her" which means they are asking the deferred sentence to be dropped and instead sentence her to the 5 year incarceration immediately. She thinks the Judge will let her go back to Colorado.

Isn't this a MAJOR violation and doesn't she need a lawyer to appear with her? She plans on just telling the Judge she "misunderstood the conditions of her probation" regarding "address changes" and that she will leave cheerfully, get in her car and head back to her new home in Colorado. I think she risks jail time or getting the 5 year sentence imposed immediately if she appears before the Judge without a lawyer? Isn't this a BIG DEAL? Also, if she does get releases I would imagine she will NOT be allowed to go back to Colorado but ordered to stay in Oklahoma immediately. Does anyone know what might happen? Thank you
