Default What to Do if Apartment Staff Signs for a Tenant's Package But Don't Have It

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California.

When I looked up my tracking number, it says my package has been delivered. They also put a copy of the signature that was provided on the website where I check my tracking number.

When I went to pick up the package, they went to look for it and said it's not back there and to check with DHL (shipping company). I did that and they confirmed that it was delivered to my apt complex and signed. My lease agreement states, "Resident gives owner the right to accept packages on their behalf and hereby release owner from liability." I understand that considering I signed it, I can't make them liable for my missing package. But earlier that same day, I received another package from the exact same company that was signed by CONNOR STEVENS. The package that's missing states it was signed by Connor Stevens as well but the signatures looks completely different. Who do I hold legally responsible if the signature was forged and my package was stolen?

    Your renters insurance.

Basically you released the owner of liability. Dhl delivered the package and has proof. There is nobody else, other than whomever stole it, that may have liability so that leaves it to nobody is liable. That means your insurance company or the thief, if anybody, would owe you for the contents of the package.
