My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: tampa, Fl
ok so on friday 4/15 I went into the front office of my apartment complex and let them know that the registration decal on my car had been stolen. the employee verbally told me that she would contact the towing company and put me on the do not tow list, while i worked on getting a replacement.
sunday morning my car was towed. after spending a couple hours trying to contact the property manager (which i failed in doing so, as well as the maintenance workers on site) I had to go myself and get my car back and pay out of pocket ($215). when i spoke with the towing office they informed me that noone had ever contacted them in regards to my car being put on the list.
monday afternoon i went into the front office and told them of the situation. the manager admitted that it was the employees fault for not notifying her directly to call the towing company she then stated that she would try to partially reimburse me for the towing charges, instead of a full reimbursement like i had asked.
of course I let her know that a partial reimbursement would not be ok because it was the employees fault and i could not physically get a new decal because it was the weekend. is there any legal claim i can make in order to be fully reimbursed by the apt complex?
