My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

I have my trial date coming up and feel uneasy about my evidence and whether it will prove my innocence.

On December 26th, 2015 I received a ticket for not having my headlights on. I did not have my headlights on however I am wanting to prove that it was not yet dark under the definition in the vehicle code that states darkness is the time 30 minutes after sunset and 30 minutes before sunrise.

The problem is that the time on the ticket is 5:23 (which is 32 minutes after the sunset of 4:15 that day), however I called my dad at 5:22 (31 minutes after sunset) after the cop had talked to me for a minute and the minute it took me to look for registration. I also have proof that I hit the road at 5:14 (23 minutes after sunset) and drove no more than 5 minutes before I was pulled over (which would be at around 4:19 which is 28 minutes after sunset). Therefor under the definition would I be not guilty?

I can also prove that the whether was sunny and that I was in a well lit area.

Would this help in court or will they simply see the time on the officer's ticket. Any advice?

Thanks
