    Default What's the Worst Thing That Can Happen After a Parole Violation and New Charge

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: michigan

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: my fiance is in jail on a new charge of 1st degree retail fraud he has priors and is on parole...also has a parole hold....ehat is the worst that can happen to him with it being a non-violent crime?

    The worst? He is violated on the charges he got parole for and has to finish his sentence for that. Then he stands trial for the new charges and, if convicted, gets up to the maximum prison/jail sentence allowed for that charge in your state.

    If he on parole for a theft charge that's bad,see if the lawyer can make some type of plea. Maybe he does a year on the new charge he can serve it while he serves his sentence for a parole violation.
