My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
I just received over a $500.00 traffic ticket by mail for turning right on the red going west on Victory then turning onto north bound Mason Ave. I remember this day as clear as if it was yesterday because when I made the turn it put me right in the path of a moving bus. I was planning to call the city about it that night and as the day went on I did the usual and forgot about it. I should have called that in and I knew it. When I was approaching the corner the light was red and I had come to a complete stop for a split second then the light changed green and I let off the brake and turned. It's a green arrow you can't miss it. The pictures show me stopped behind the line and the traffic behind me in the first photo having passed by the time of the second photo. Passing through the intersection past me. All the traffic was in motion and the bus warning sign was black. To me it's a clear slam dunk just by what I see in the photos with the traffic having past me but since taking a severe beating in divorce court I'm not sure on anything and I can't afford a bogus ticket right now. Anyone else have similar problems at this corner? These cameras are far from accurate. I had a similar problem with the toll lanes on the 91 one time but that's another story. But in another aspect they ask the same thing, pay the fine then fight. I paid that fine on the toll violation then tried to fight it. Nope the case is closed now sorry. I never have had a ticket and am wondering if this calls for an attorney. And if I win does it cost me? Any advice from anyone? Please?
