    Question Car Repossession

I am behind on my car payments. I sent them a car payment last week. It did not bring the payments to current. I contacted the credit union after they contacted my parents (unknown as to why). The credit union told me they could not accept my $300 payment. Later that same night, I received two phone calls in my cell phone mail box from someone who said he would be out the next morning (before Noon) to pick up the car.

The car has yet to be picked up. I contacted the credit union regarding the $300 payment that they stated, could not be accepted (posted). According to them, they have already posted the check.

I do not understand what they're doing. Since they accepted (posted) the $300 payment, can they still repossess the car? I believe the credit union has been playing games with me.

    Default Re: Car Repossession

If you are behind on the payments on your loan, then they can repossess the collateral (car).

Let me warn you that you do not want it repossessed. They will sell it for little or nothing and you will still owe the money.

Catch your payments up as much as possible.

    Beg.

    Plead.
