    Default Tax refund garnishment

My resident state is South Dakota, however, I have a joint checking account in Arizona. I have no paperwork but I'm sure there are judgements against me for credit card default. Will they be able to garnish my tax refunds if the debt is mine but I have a joint checking account with my husband?

    Default Re: Tax refund garnishment

If you deposit the refund into a joint account, it will be subject to garnishment (along with any other funds in the account).
