Default Exchanged Nude Pictures with a Minor

My question involves criminal law for the state of: PA

I was contacted on a dating site by a girl whose profile said she was 18. She asked for my number almost immediately and then after a few messages sent me nudes without me even asking. She then asked for me to return the favor. I sent one. She said two more quick, sexual things, then bailed for about an hour. Then texted me back and sent me another pic that was supposedly her and her friend in bathing suits. She looked different in that pic and really young. I asked how old she was and she said almost 16. I said we can't talk and to find people her own age. She made references that her dad wasn't looking or whatever. It had me creeped out. I said sorry and to not contact me. Then today I get a call and it's from her "Dad" saying that they found out and she had to go to the hospital because she got caught and was acting erratic after being caught by her mother.

He said that police were called in and CPS was, as well. "As is standard procedure", he says. He said the police told him to press charges. But, he's a good man and wanted to hear my side of the story. I told him and he said well there's still the matter of the medical bill which is $1,800. He wants me to split it, "to be fair." I told him I couldn't come up with that until the 1st of the month and he said that's fine and he'll be keeping in contact with me.

I deleted everything as soon as she said she was under 18 and her profile has now been deleted on the dating site. So, I have no proof of anything. I get the feeling this is a scam but, shit! I've never been in trouble and I have no clue what to do. I'm not going to be able to pay any bills if I fork over half the "medical bill".

If they called the police and protective services, you can report his demand for money when they speak with you -- because your payment will not stop their investigation.

What you're almost certainly dealing with is a shake-down, an attempt to extort money from you.

What ever you do don't pay one cent. This is a scam. The next time he calls you, you tell him that you called and filed a police report on him for blackmail. Then you hang the phone up and I can bet a paycheck that you will never get contacted by him again...
