I was driving on I-405 good-to-go lane yesterday around 6 pm (crazy traffic and crazy rains). I got this ticket---violation code 46.61.100. The officer pulled me over, and said that I was driving 55 mph (the maximum limit was 60 mph), and I was supposed to drive on the right side of the road.
I admitted that I was driving slower than usual, but it was the rain and water on the road which made me really uncomfortable driving faster. And cars on the general purpose lanes were trying to merge onto the right side of good-to-go lane. I was so scared to drive on the right side of the lane. However, I didn't say much before the office took my driver license and registration. I thought he was going to give me a warning. I was shocked when he came back with a $136 ticket. Then I tried to explain my concerns to the officer, but all he told me was that he needed me to take the ticket.
I felt so upset...can't believe I got a ticket by driving carefully. I wonder if there is any chance that I can get this ticket dismissed by explaining my situations to the court. I know people here are generous and kind. I hope someone could advise me on how to fight my ticket. I would be really really appreciate!
