    Question Seller belongings left after close

    Purchased a townhome in Arizona, after closing some of the sellers belongings were still there including a car. The owner lives in Utah the home was his deceased mothers. He new the car and various items were there prior to close. Who is the owner of these items and car now?

    The car is titled, so you can't claim ownership to it even if it is on your land. In most states, personal property left behind belongs to the new owner unless the purchase agreement provides otherwise. Your real estate agent should be able to inform you of Utah's law.
