Default What Happens if You Get a Good-Paying Job After Filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Alaska

I am going to be getting a well paying job like 2 days after I file chapter 7, but all they will care about is the years BEFORE I file right?

Is this going to cause a bunch of problems? If so are there ways around it?

The trustee may well make an issue of your increased income and whether you qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, at the 341 hearing. You will want to speak with your bankruptcy lawyer.

While generally what happens after the filing date does not affect the bankruptcy that is not always the case. Particularly where you had already secured something informally before the bankruptcy (e.g. a job) but the formal start date is after the bankruptcy the trustee may well argue that the real date that matters when the decision was made to hire you rather than when the job formally started. Filing so close to the start of the new job is the sort of thing you really need to discuss with your bankruptcy lawyer.

I suggest you read question 13 of Schedule I and then find a good attny instead of trying this pro se. A successful bk is based upon disclosure, disclosure, disclosure.
