My question involves defamation in the state of: North Carolina
A privately owned website, everify.com, is reporting a felony I had expunged two years ago.
Can I go after them for reporting it?
Thank you.

First, you were convicted of the offense, so telling people that you were convicted of the offense is a statement of fact.
Second, odds are their report is laden with disclaimers about how information may be mismatched or inaccurate, and should not be relied upon as true.
Third, so far the only person you have identified as a recipient of the report is you -- and they can't defame you through statements they make only to you.
Fourth, you have already been told how to ask them to remove the record in your other thread on this subject. If you choose not to do so, such that they continue to report your conviction to others, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
