Doh brain fart. Neg 2 is what I was referencing. If he was charged with reckless, it is an incorrect charge and likely won't stick.

Simply going straight through an intersection rather than turning isn't usually charged as reckless, rather neg 2.

Neg 2 fits better, and the prosecutor would probably agree, especially if there was no accident or injury sustained.

I've seen much worse charged as neg 2. Any competent traffic lawyer should be able to get the charge changed or even reduced further.
