Default Reporting Arrest To Probation Officer in Texas

I'm in Texas. A friend of mine was placed on probation for driving without a valid license 1/3/07. He was arrested again for DUI in a different county on 1/11/07. He believes if he's released before the end of the month and is able to report to his PO on 2/15/07 that his PO should not find out about it. He stated there are people in there who have been there for 6 months and still have no court date. The bail bondsman even stated he'll probably stay in there 4-6 months before a courtdate will be given to him. If he is able to get out before his PO does the state warrant check and he is able to make it to his meeting and refrains from getting in trouble. Is there a possiblilty his PO really won't find out about it? If they will, how soon will they know.

He needs to tell his PO; in fact, all arrests are reported to PO anyway by the authorities.

Does it matter at all if it occurred in different counties?

I am not sure what you are asking, but if he is on probation in Texas and commits a new crime in the Peoples Republic of China, his probation could be revoked.
