My question involves criminal law for the state of: TEXAS
I'm 15 years old, I was caught shoplifting about a week ago at Kohls.
The LP asked for my name and address and my mom came to sign the release forms and the agreement that I'm banned from their department store. They did not call police or have me arrested. They didn't take my picture neither, so what exactly does that mean?
Earlier today I received the Civil Demand letter telling me to pay $200 for the shoplifting. so does that mean that not I have a Criminal Record, or any Record at all? Is this a convicted felony? Will I not be able to apply for jobs now? Will colleges be able to see this? This is my first time, so I'm new to this...sorry. Please help
