    Not under the circumstances you describe.

    Now for the advice: Get in touch with a local agency that helps victims of domestic abuse. Yes, you ARE, and it's about time you admitted that this is beyond your control and get yourself some help. File a restraining order and get out of that house as soon as you can. Otherwise you may end up dead or crippled. Oh well, you didn't take the good advice of family and friends, you probably won't take this advice either.
