My question involves paternity law for the State of: florida
I was dating a man and I got pregnant. He is the only man I have been with since 6/2013. He asked me to do a pre-natal paternity test through DDC. I agreed no problem. The company is accredited and seemed reputable plus I was not worried. I mean he is it, the only one.
The test came back that he is not the father, 0%. I am in a state of shock and utter confusion. I have never heard of a DNA test being wrong but this one is very wrong.
Trust me I know what you are thinking as you are reading this that I am full of it and am lying. The thing is I am not lying and I am not doing this for money, I have enough to support myself and my son no problem. I am doing this because my son deserves to have a father. I don't want child support but I do want a name on that birth certificate.
So anyway the father is contesting this pregnancy all the way and honestly I can't blame him. So I am going to have to force a retest after the birth, which is going to be tomorrow BTW I am getting induced. Does anyone have any idea how hard this is going to be and how long of a court battle it is going to be to get a retest. Do Florida courts even accept prenantal paternity tests, DDC, the testing company says the test is accurate and court admissible.
So I am in a pickle, I hate dragging this man through court but he refuses to retest voluntarily. His heart is broken and I am a dirty liar and such blah blah blah.
Has anyone ever heard of these tests being wrong I mean this is just absurd and putting me through hell.
Thank you in advance for your advice. Please respond as though you believe me, trust me I know most people don't and think there had to be someone else. I have been with five guys in my 35 years on this earth; it is not hard to track who I have slept with. I just need a little help. I have never even heard of anyone being in pickle like this before.
