Im Sorry, I thought they combined my threads? Please excuse my ignorance, but, my other lawyer? Am I to assume you all are lawyers?
Correct about the various debts. Because I had a lawyer now, I put the case on cruise control and did not think about it. I honestly forgot about extra debts and such, but, my lawyer also knew I wanted in my pocket "x" amount. I mentioned lawyers fees over and over and over, so, he knows I am concerned about them. If he wasn't shifty, he would have said to himself, okay, my client wants $5k so I need to get him enough to settle my bill and him $5k. That IS his "supposed" duty, right? And, or, if it is not going to happen, it IS his duty to tell me, not make me "think" I am getting that amount to surprise me. Thats what the opposing attorneys are supposed to do and my attorney is supposed to be the watchdog (yea, I know).
Yes, thats the whole point. We were arguing over me and the lawyers expenses. I told him not to do anything unless I authorized it because of the unknown expenses. I wanted to know where
the money was going from this point out. It had NOTHING to do with the insurance company. There was no reason to settle with them at that point.
Oh, I know the others are not going to get involved. "I" never accepted the insurance companies offer. My lawyer went behind my back and told them I did. Now I have to try to prove I didnt.
The closest I got to accepting was "if we settle the fees between us, I will sign the acceptance letter". I am not even sure I said that in all one sentence, I have to go back through my emails and see what my lawyer is presenting in the motion to force settlement package he sent me.
If he sends it up to a judge, do I "have" to go before the judge or is it a quite motion?
