My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Virginia
If I am involved in a civil case and I lose, then I file bankruptcy, can they still come after me for some bogus case after my bankruptcy clears?

Unless there's something fraudulent going on, nope - bankruptcy relieves you of the responsibility.
See 11 USC Sec. 523.
No, nothing fraudulent but with the fury he is trying to go after me with, I am not sure if he will try something else after he destroys my financials and I file bankruptcy. then, when he STILL doesn't get his money, he tries to pull some other lawsuit out. You know, like the OJ case? He wasn't found guilty of murder but still had to pay punitive damages or something like that.
Thanks, I will take a look at that.
And thanks to both of you for the fast replies.
The families sued OJ in a civil suit for wrongful death (IIRC). If the families had lost the case that would have been the end of it (other than the appeals, which I'm sure they would have had ready and waiting). They wouldn't get two bites of the apple.
He will not tell me what I owe. He has the following listed
1) Case %
2) Time and effort
3) Other bills not listed
What is "other bills not listed? He could sit there and make up a slew of bills and return $5.00 to me once he has check in hand and I would then have to fight him for it. I have asked repeatidly for a final billing and for him to revise the contract to take that clause out, but he refuses. I am not giving him cart blanche.
We can't see any of the court documents from where we are sitting. If you want to know what they mean, you'll need to show the court records to a lawyer and share the relevant facts.
