My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia
Hello, I looking to get clarification on what I am about to mention could be considered food stamp fraud. I have a family member who left NJ and came to GA, but did this in violation of his NJ probation. While in GA he started receiving food stamps and other benefits by using a friend's GA address. He stayed in GA for nearly 6 months until he found out there was a warrant for his arrest on a different violation. He went back to NJ, turned himself in, and is now has to stay put in NJ. Being that he was not a resident of GA and on probation in another state, could that be Food Stamp fraud?
