My question involves restraining orders in the State of: Florida
I'm going to make a long story as short as possible. An ex was granted a restraining order for one year in 2007. Then she tried to have it placed on me again in June 2008 however I was leaving for the Army and needed it to be gone in order to leave so the judge upon me showing him my enlistment papers and a letter from my recruiter and witnesses who testified to my ex coming out to bars which I frequented and telling me in a provocative manner to not leave and trying to hook up with me, denied her request to place another order against me.
Now it's been 7 years and I'm back in Florida and no longer in the Army and when I am on Facebook she keeps showing up in the people you may know suggestions. I typically click there x and go on about my day but lately I have wanted to send her a message to just say hi and apologize for my past actions that led to her needing or feeling as though she would want a restraining order.
If I do this could she file for another order or could I be arrested even though she no longer has one? Are there any legal ramifications of me doing something like this?
