My question involves a child custody case from the State of: California
Hello,
I need someone to help me please understand my order. I am in the state of California and my son is in middle school. The court order was issued when my son was in preschool.
I have two questions:
My first questions regarding traveling out of state.
The court order stated that I should be provided with an itinerary which includes the travel locations, dates and contacts phone number.
Now, my ex has been providing an old address of his parents which no one lives in. For the past 7 years my ex has been giving me a bogus address for the travel location of our son. I sent a police office at that address to do welfare check and the neighbors said to the police officer nobody has lived there for years. Also my son mentioned to me several time that when he goes to Colorado he stays at two different addresses, his grand parents and his father's in-law house but they are both not the address provided by my ex to me.
Now since my order says travel location, is travel location the actual physical address or just state? How can I enforce this part of my order before my son leaves the state of California?
My second question is regarding the visitations time.
In our court order, it says " Custody shall occur generally between the hours of 9 to 5pm. Due to fathers travels distance and other variable involved in traveling, the time of each custody exchange will vary." Our son now travels by himself for the past year.
My ex has been doing pick up and dropped off from 7 pm to sometimes 10.30pm. Can he do that? Is there a way to say no drop off and pick up past 7pm?
Also, I forgot to mention that my son and I take public transportation.
Thanks for your help.
