My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California.
I moved into a loft with four other roommates. The living conditions with the roommates are unbearable, and I really want to move out before the next semester of Spring 2016 starts (I'm a student).
My lease in a one-year lease, beginning Aug. 1, 2015, and ending July 20, 2016. I just looked over my lease (I obtained a copy on Oct. 8), and I realize that the owner never signed it.
Am I still legally bound to the contract? If not, is there any possible way to break this lease?
