I was a guest(male) at my girlfriend's apartment and the landlord found out. A few days later the landlord said that guest are allowed but members of the opposite sex are not allowed to sleep over, and because she had me as a guest, and I slept over, she could have her evicted. I must add that the approval of the roommates was given prior to me coming over.
Is your girlfriend renting the entire apartment along with her roommates, on a single lease, or are they each separately leasing space in the apartment? Do they each have their own rooms, or are bedrooms shared?

And if she did understand the provisions and accepted them, then the consequences are on her.
Actually, assuming that a lease provision is unlawful, should the matter be challenged in court a landlord won't be able to successfully evict a tenant for 'violating' the unlawful provision.
