My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: CA
What does CA Civil Code mean when it requires the landlord/property manager to provide tenants with an "itemized statement" for any damages? Is an "itemized statement" Cleaning=$35; Laminate Floor=($480/5) x 3=$288; Paint Repair of tenant patched wall and curtain rod holes=($750/5) x 3= $450; Granite replacement=$780
fyi.. the divided by 5 is for a 5 year expected life, then x 3 is how many years was left on their useful life. (I lived in the rental for 2 years.)
I thought an itemized statement should include at minimum an hourly/labor and materials breakdown...
10x10 Living Room Laminate Floor=Materials $100; Installation $188
15 x 4 Granite Slab = $400; Installation $380.
