While incarserated in a California State prison, I was left with PTSD as a result of what I believe to be negligence/inaction on the part of 2 correctional officers.
Can I sue the state or does the state have immunity in this case?

Q: Can I sue the state or does the state have immunity in this case?
A: Without knowing all the facts, it is hard to say. Talk to a personal injury lawyer to see if you have a case.

Thank you for your reply.

You reference PICS-what might that be?
It's a syndrome called Post Incarceration Syndrome and it includes several diagnoses that can be attributed to the criminal justice system method of handling or mishandling prisoners.
From what I know about PTSD, norcal, there is usually a traumatic event(s) in early childhood that sets up the physiologic response experienced later in life when circumstances that trigger a recall of those earlier events.
Google "Post Incarceration Syndrome" to see what you think about what you experienced and what it says about treatment.
