    That last sentence? It seems weird. If he can't be alone with minors, that suggests that he can be around minors - just not alone.

    There's no RO on behalf of the victim? Can I ask how long ago the crime took place?

    Yeah apparently he can be around minors as long as their not left alone with him, which is crazy to me being a child who was molested myself. That's what the law reads from my research though. A little confused on that myself. "RO" not sure what that means. And the victim is 28 now so the last time it happened and when he was subsequently charged was 11 years ago. He has to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

    He can't be at schools, parks, and such but ultimately can be around children in other areas that aren't predominantly for children as long as he's not alone with them, ie, his home, a friends home, theme parks, fairs, stores, ect.

    RO = restraining order.

    So where do you fit in?

    You seriously need to read the posting history here.

    So what came of Dad's case after the whOle domestic violence between you and Dad when child was present?
    Apparently there is no RO against grandpa?
    So did grandpa just purchase the property? It sounds like keep has no intention of actually living there, right? Perhaps he is just a parent trying to help out his daughter. Maybe trying to make amends for his past.

    No restraining order. Yes the step dad just purchased this property. And no offense but I just came on here to see if that was legal. I've already talked to the sheriff so I'll wait for him to get back to me. BTW mediation is set. And the judge was more concerned about the sex offender. The child was not present when the incident occured. No he doesn't plan on living there but is there everyday. Was even having breakfast in the victims kitchen when dad came to pick his daughter up. Hmmm now why would a sex offender be in his pjs in his victims home eating breakfast early in the morning. Seems strange to me.

    Could it perhaps be because you really don't have much of a clue about it?

    I shall politely withhold from commenting further. If you catch my drift ...

    I only know what dad tells me and what he is concerned about.
