Here's the situation, I got a DUI in Georgia last June. In court in November, I plead it down and got 64 hours of community service, some classes, a day in jail, and non reporting probation for a year. The probation is non reporting once I have completed all the requirements. Before the holidays I went and got a limited driving permit which apparently is only good in georgia, and then went to visit my girlfriend's family in the midwest. While driving through Minnesota my girlfriend got tired of driving all day so I ended up taking the wheel. Of course I got pulled over for doing 15 over the limit and the officer gave me a citation for speeding. My question is this: am I in danger of violating my parole in Georgia when they send the record of my ticket? Secondly, what should I tell my probation officer? I'm only 2 months into my year of probation and I certainly would like to avoid going to jail. Any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
