Will Seeking Child Support Affect Your Immigration Status

My question involves child support in the State of: Tennessee

I'm actually a undocumented with a work permit, waiting on my green card. I was working at a beauty supply and me and my boss we're going out.. Mistakenly I got a pregnant by him. I then stopped working there because,after few failed attempts of abortions, I decided to keep the baby. And my boss treatened to take that baby from me if I keep her,and that he would do whatever it takes to deport me.

I went on with the pregnancy anyway And had had my precious beautiful baby girl whom looks just like her father. My baby is now 5 months and I would like to get child support for her. But then I'm scare that he might take her from me because he got money. And do I have to accept parenting visitation knowing that he treatened to take my baby from me. also would that be somehow in the way of me getting my green card.

Somebody please help.

He's free to establish paternity and file for custody and/or visitation and/or child support at any point. You are free to do the exact same thing. Your immigration status has no bearing at all and won't be affected either way.

Okay, but my lawyer working on my immigration case was telling me that they might bring that up on my interview.
