Default Teen Mother Wants to Give Birth in Another State

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Florida
I understand that in Florida the teen mother is entitled to make all decisions about the care of pregnancy and baby. Does that include what state she gives birth in? If so, how does she petition the court to let her go to another state?

First tell us why you want to give birth in another state. And in what state.

She cannot. Her parents or legal guardians have complete control of HER. She lives where they tell her to live. She gets to make her own medical decisions but where she lives is not a medical decision. She can also control where the baby lives after the baby is born, but that does not mean that she gets to go with the baby if she decides that the baby is to live somewhere her parents or guardians will not allow her to live.

She is absolutely free to move wherever she wants to give birth.

This assumes she's actually the age of majority.

Why do I have a feeling this has more to do with where the baby's daddy lives and less with the state itself?

I actually think that it has more to do with where the future paternal grandparents live and where they want jurisdiction to be established.

Agree..it might help if you gave your age and the reasons you want to be in another state.

It can make a lot of difference for the child long term...a few hundred yards PA to NJ changes the rules as to parents must pay for college or not....but I doubt OP is thinking that far ahead.
