My question involves real estate located in the State of: Ohio
My neighbor recently put up a 6' privacy fence about 12"-18" inside his property line, along my driveway. He is not maintaining the grass on my side of the fence. He is also not a pleasant person. The fence is only that far inside his property because there are multiple mature trees along the property line that would restrict him from putting it closer to the boundary. Would I be allowed to put flower beds along my side of the fence? The one foot, or so, strip of grass next to the drive is unsightly to me.
Also the fence continues past my garage and leaves a 4'-6' gap between the fence and the side of the garage. Can I put a "dividing" fence there to block line of sight down the side of the garage? Again his fence is 12"-18" on his side of the property there too. I would not want to connect to his fence post there because I know that would cause troubles. Would I be able to put a post next to his and tie the other side into my garage? If I were to follow the property line there would be a large gap between my "line of sight" fence and his.
