Default What Can I Do if My Landlord Wants to Add a Third Roommate

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Washington

So I recently moved into my landlord's house (3bed 2bath).
I saw the ad in Craigslist and at that time the ad did not mention anything about 3rd roommate.
It even said that I get to use the 1 bathroom alone.

However, as I met my landlord and started signing papers, he said that he MIGHT get a 3rd roommate but he is not sure. He said that based on how things go he might look for one if he thinks he needs one.

Now that I have settled in after moving in 2 weeks ago, he is ACTIVELY looking for a third roommate. He is putting ads on craigslist and calling people for interviews.
He is saying that soon people will come to view the room and the bathroom will be shared.

I feel deceived. There is nothing in my lease paper about having a rommate and sharing a bathroom with a roommate.
Is there some kind of ground to complain to my landlord? I can't find the original ad that said I get to have private bath.

I do want to keep a good relationship with my landlord and I have been trying to be a nice tenant. But him adding a roommate seems unfair.

Should I talk to him about bathroom being advertised as private bath when I saw the ad?
I found the expired ad here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...ting_sidebar=0

As you can see, it says that I get to have private bathroom in the ad.

Again there is nothing in the lease paper where bathroom needs to be shared by 3rd roommate.

Are you a month-to-month tenant? If so, you can give notice.

Unfortunately, I signed 1 year lease...
I wish I had month to month. But the landlord has been hardballing me about 1year term.
    Now I know why.

Anyways, it seems that landlord is not being straight and trying to take advantage of me as much as possible.

Although good side is, he is saying that he is considering 3rd roommate carefully and making sure 3rd roommate is compatible to my/his schedule.

    # 1 Read the fine print of your lease.....normally when somebody rents a dwelling unit they get exclusive use of the premises being rented ......

#2 Check the zoning or approved use of that building and if any required licenses are in place ...IF the leasing of the premises is in violation of local codes or permit laws the Ll might have some problems to enforce the lease .....varies by jurisdiction..do not assume answers wo checking.

Post a copy of your lease, redacting any identifying information.

The ad means nothing once you've seen the premises and agreed to the contract. You had every opportunity to walk away the moment he said he "might" look for another roommate.

However, depending on how your lease is written you might be able to enforce exclusive use of the bathroom, or you might not.

We need to see the entire lease.
