My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Kansas
My husband and I signed a joint lease for 1 year.
Lease is up on November 30th.
Divorce is final in September.
I have provided my landlord with my notice to leave, but I am concerned that my ex-husband won't move out at the end of the lease and the landlord will come after me for additional rent when I am not living here any longer.
What options do I have to either protect myself from being sued by the landlord or evicting the exhusband?
