Default My credit card is stolen

Somebody from another city/state used my CC in Macys and on the gas stations. Does this mean that somebody have a hard copy of my CC? How is that possible and should I do anything else besides canceling stolen CC?
    Thanks

You can file a police report. The credit card agency will likely want to see a police report, in conjunction with your claim that the charges are fraudulent.

There are a number of ways that somebody can create a false credit card, but there's no real need to discuss them here. Your credit card company knows that it is possible.
