His mistake was not filing for a mod 3 years ago, and he likely wouldn't be where he is today and so desperately in need of immediate relief which is just not available. Unpaid child support is going to catch up with the obligor sooner or later.

My husband is 13 years my senior and I'm hardly a spring chicken myself; he'd hardly be first in line for much else himself if he lost his current job.
