Let us know how it turns out.
Mr Knowitall made my point for me.
I went to Target at 1132AM yesterday. The cash register receipt printed my time in at 8:31AM.
Adjusterjack,
Thank you for the laugh, however, the about one hundred mile stretch was from the toll booth to citation.
Mr. Knowitall,
Is this a serious question or backhanded way of stating that without proof that the clocks were set correctly at the gas station, toll plaza, and officers vehicle, you think that the defense is not good?
I have never stated that what I have is definitive proof, in fact I came to this forum asking if what I had was a good defense or if this was hopeless.
When you offer evidence in court, you must lay a proper foundation for your evidence or the court won't let it in. If you have no evidence to support the accuracy of the time stamps, odds are the prosecutor will object and the court will disallow the evidence. (And that's before you get to the other issues people have raised.)
Yeah and just forget about the time it took you to get back into your car, start the engine, leave the gas station and get back on the highway. Then just forget the time it took the officer to stop you and get your documents, go back to his car and produce the ticket.
Shall we just add another 5 minutes?
