Question How Long Should it Take to Get a Judge's Decision on a Speeding Ticket

I had a trial at a traffic court for a speeding ticket in June. At the end of the trial, the judge told me that he will make a decision by the end of June and will mail his written decision to my address. Contrary to what he said, the judge made a decision on my case in August and found me guilty. Why did the judge need that many days to make a decision on a speeding ticket?

Anyone with similar experience where judge took a month or two months or longer to make a decision on a speeding ticket?

No trolling and snide remarks, please. Thank you.

I’m not a mind reader and can’t tell you why the judge took the time that he did. Nor did I attend the trial to be able to guess if there might have been issues that the judge would need to research or think about. There are all kinds of reasons it might have taken the time it did. The judge or his clerks might have gotten sick, had to take time off for family issues, might have vacations, might have had to fill in on trials for another judge who got ill, had vacation or whatever, or any number of other things. Speculating why the judge took the time he did really doesn’t help you any. Nor does it really matter. It’s not like you can successfully challenge your conviction based on that.
