he moved into a rental unit. There is no differentiation for trailer rental or lot rental because it the rent is for the trailer on the lot. Yes, I jumped to a bit of a conclusion but the fact is; he moved into a trailer, under a rental agreement, that was already in the park.

The facts as shared by the OP remain partial and poorly explained. Unless and until we get better facts, the OP should to speak to the lawyer who is familiar with the case.

    Mr. Knowitall,
I don't know why you're having such a hard time with this. All of the information is right there in the initial post.

We moved into our trailer 7 years ago.
Our rent was $325.00 We paid it every month.
The owner of the property didn't pay her taxes.
The property went into conservatorship under the authority of the courts. During that time a property management company collected our $325.00 rent each month.
The court case was apparently closed and the property was sold to new owners.
We met the new owners and he told me where to send our rent. We've sent him $325.00 every month to present.
The other day we received a manilla envelope taped to our porch that read, Notice to quit - Trespasser.

It's not even slightly unusual for a manufactured home to be owned by somebody other than the owner of the lot. It is very possible for a tenant to have to pay rent to the owner of the home, while separately paying lot rent to the owner of the lot.

Being rude doesn't make up for the fact that you have not provided the information we need to address your question.

    You have a lawyer.

    Go talk to your lawyer.
