My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Pennsylvania
My daughter was incarcerated in Sept of 2014. I was given temporary custody of all 4 of her children, by CPS. I've been caring for them ever since. They all have lived with me since birth. Except for the 2 months, when my daughter got her own place. The father of the youngest wants custody. He's came to see the child about five times and stayed no longer than 10 minutes. He has not contributed financially in anyway. He doesn't have a job. And has previously been convicted for drugs. Also, he's currently on parole. We have a court day coming up. Just wanted to know some outcomes.
How did CPS give you temporary custody? It had to have been a court. Was father served at that point? did he show up? Were the children adjudicated neglected/dependent/abused or in need of services? What type of drugs? Currently on parole for a drug conviction? Is there a child support order? When was paternity established?
