My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida

My family moved into a townhouse may 2015, when we moved in the ac didn't work upstairs. It blew a very light amount of air that you can only feel if your feet are on the vent. Our dishwasher didn't work, and underneath the sink (in the actual floorboards in the bathroom that shared a wall with our ac) leaked. They told us that's how the ac is and told us to turn off our vents down stairs and it would blow harder up stairs. We tried that and it didn't help. We got fans for upstairs, and they fixed the other problems.

July 6th we woke up to our bottom stairs drenched in water. All coming from that same spot, we called and after 4 hours of them saying they would come and water leaking everywhere I finally went to the office and told them I wasn't leaving without a maintaince worker. I showed them pics including one where you can see mold growing in the corner of my wall next to the ac unit. They came by said it was fixed by spraying some white foam into my ac unit and unclogging a drain outside. They vaccuumed up the water and left. Within 24 hours the leak was back and it was worse. They came and fixed a leak in the pipe behind the ac unit which looks like it has been repaired multiple times and said that they would put us in the list for a new ac unit. But that they only grant 1-2 units a month. The maintaince worker said if they can't keep it fixed they would have to move us apts. we asked to be let out of lease and it was denied.

Last week the ac started being hotter inside we had to get more fans, and when we asked where we were on the list we found out they had to let go the other maintaince workers because the city came out and what they fixed wasn't up to code. They said they would send the new guys to us. We are still on the maintaince list; but they haven't came by. We have green slime looking liquid coming out of our ac unit outside, we were told this is normal but no other unit has it. We also have a white cord going from our unit up into our roof outside. Again no one else has this. Tonight our ac stopped working completely. I have called the maintaince number several times it's over 80 inside and outside right now. I flipped the breakers and I can get the air to blow but it's not cold at all and will cut off after about 30-44 mins. Flip the breakers again to restart it. No one can sleep it is so hot in here.

Our ac unit inside the vent where the cold air is supposed to blow front has white spots all over it.
We pay a premium price and this is not up to standards. We pay $914 in Jacksonville fl that's a lot.

What can I do? How can I make them fix this for good? Or what do I need to do to start of the process of getting out of my lease without paying them $1700? Any advice or tips would be amazing.thanks

My son is medically disabled these are not healthy living conditions for him. I can get a doctors note if needed or if it would help. Thanks
