After 10 years, my bankruptcy is officially off my credit report. My credit is great and everything looked fantastic according to CHASE as I was in the final process of obtaining a small business loan. I even told the bank manager about the bankruptcy and he said it was a non-issue, and they've given loans to those who had a bankruptcy just 5 years old. Then I got the call saying that the answer is no because CHASE "took a loss" with me with the 10 year old bankruptcy. Apparently one of the cards that was a part of the bankruptcy was a SLATE card from chase. I had no idea, as it was so long ago. So even though my credit is fantastic, I just moved all my accounts/business to CHASE (I was ready for a new bank and their new location is right next to me), they can "never help me" with credit, because they "took a loss." Is this right/ok?? I thought once it was off my credit report I was good to go... Anyone hear of this?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
