My question involves defamation in the state of: SC
My husband received a notice today from our landlord accusing us of harassing are neighbors, it's not the first time. But it is totally untrue. my husband was once the onsite manager of the mobile home park we live in and some of the neighbors don't like us because he delivered notices. We stay at home, keep to ourselves, only talk to a few neighbors. He cuts lawn for about 6 people in the park and we walk our dog, we don't bother anyone. We've saw other neighbors forced out and we feel that is what's happening to us.
We feel that we should have a right to meet with the people accusing us and the parks office, in order to prove these accusations are untrue.
Were not looking to try and sue, it's not about money, but we feel this is a violation of our rights. I have an illness that is affected by stress and this is making it worse.
Moving is not an option, were buying our trailer and one of the conditions is it has to remain in this park.
Were not bothering anyone and were tired of feeling like we should never leave or house.
Do you have any suggestions.
