Default Can Parents of a Minor's Friend Get Guardianship Agasint the Parents' Wishes

My question involves guardianship in the State of: Florida

I have been having family issues for about two, almost three years now. I was wondering if my friends mother could claim legal guardianship without parental consent. If not is there a way for me to become my own legal guardian. I am 16 and I'm open to try other options to get out of my abusive household without getting the government to involved.

    Thank you, Zoe

    There isn't.

You're a child in the eyes of the law. If you are abused call Child Protective Services and report the abuse. There's a remote chance that you'll be removed from the house and placed in foster care.

Otherwise, keep your head down, do what you are told, and suck it up until you are 18.

Unless you are removed from the home by the state and placed in foster care or a group home, NO ONE is getting guardianship of you without parental consent.

What is the nature of the alleged abuse?
