Default Entering the U.S. Without Your Physical Green Card

I am Canadian citizen, lawful US permanent resident, but currently in Canada. I wish to return to the US. I don't have my physical green card because it never arrived in the mail nor received it. My Green Card that was stamped in my passport expired. I submitted the form l-190 with the USCIS and was given an appointment to go through biometrics in the US in order to replace the Green Card. What shall I do to re enter the US? I'm also aware of the Visa Waiver Form i -193 to enter the US but have to pay $585 Fee.
Can I use the Form i -190 and my Biometrics Appointment Letter at the CBP when I enter the US? Please help. Thanks very much.

How long have you been outside the US?
